Tony is a long standing professional leader and entrepreneur in the Communications sector. Initial career experience was gained as CEO of the Motorola business both in Ireland and the UK and rising to Vice President of European Operations over the course of 13 years.

 

He is the founder and non-executive Chair of Sigma Wireless Group, which builds Radio communications networks for public safety, Oil and Gas and mining customers in Ireland and Africa.

 

He started seven businesses over 20 years including distribution, retail, systems integration and manufacturing all in the Communications sector. He successfully negotiated an exit from three of these businesses including one to a global operator and the other 2 to MNC’s.

 

Tony is currently a Director and shareholder in Tetra Ireland which delivers the National Digital Radio Service to all Irish emergency services. He was a Co-Founder and Chairman of the implementation group for The Green Way a collaboration between Industry, Universities and the Local Authorities to develop a Cleantech cluster in Ireland.

 

In his volunteer roles he has served as President of North Dublin Chamber and Council member of Dublin Chamber of Commerce for over 20 years and he currently Chairs the Ballymun Town Civic alliance which is one of the largest urban regeneration projects in Europe.

 

Always up for a new challenge Tony is now embarking on a new phase of career based from Lisbon to deliver consultancy to organizations both large and small to deliver transformational advice building upon experience gained at the highest level.
